Historically, due to reasons intrinsic to the progress of the leather industry, common industrial practice foresaw the use of a high number of chemicals, one for each need and sometimes with actual duplication. This practice led to companies having oversized storage areas and consequently, a higher risk of error in their management, longer production time due to unnecessary operations and, therefore, higher costs. Today, thanks to the natural progress in terms of know-how, all this may be easily overcome. ChimontGroup has developed truly innovative chemical and processing technologies by limiting the number of truly essential products to five. Sustainable, simple, short and flexible processes that allow for progressive leather refining, from tanning to finishing, in order to obtain the desired article.
